At SLO Partners, we aim to increase the representation of local women in STEM careers. Our Women in Tech scholarship program helps offset the cost of attending our cybersecurity and coding/software development bootcamps offered through Cal Poly Extended Education and Full Stack Academy.

Cybersecurity

This bootcamp teaches the skills for a great career in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries in as little as 12 weeks in a 100% live online format. Learn how to protect digital assets, systems, networks, and sensitive information from breaches by using advanced coding, online security, and investigative techniques.

Coding/Software Development

This live, 100% online bootcamp will give you the skills to increase your earning potential with a new career in software. You’ll learn in-demand front-end, back-end, and fullstack development skills in as little as 12 weeks.

Women in Tech Scholarship FAQs

Who is eligible to apply for the SLO Partners Women in Tech Scholarship?

We welcome all SLO County women and nonbinary individuals to apply. No prior experience is required to enroll in the program.

**IMPORTANT** To be eligible for the scholarship, you must also apply and gain acceptance to the Cal Poly Extended Education Technical Bootcamp in partnership with Fullstack Academy.

What does the scholarship include?

Three “Women in Tech” $2,000 scholarships are awarded for each bootcamp session, to offset the costs of online immersive technical full-time and part-time bootcamps for software development and cyber security. Scholarships are not exchangeable for cash, and any scholarship winners are not entitled to any monetary refund under any circumstances.

What are the selection criteria?

The winners will be selected by SLO Partners after completing the form below and submitting a short essay. An online scholarship interview with SLO Partners must be conducted prior to “Women in Tech” scholarship application deadline. Scholarship winners are determined by the panel and notified within 1 week of completion of the Interview.

What is the deadline to apply?

“Women In Tech” Scholarship application form and essay submission deadlines are always one week after the bootcamp begins.

When will I be notified?

Scholarship winners are determined by the panel and notified within 1 week of completion of the Interview.
